Study on the Structure Parameters of Chamber Underground Infiltration System

Chamber is one of key factors to success for chamber underground infiltration system. As the difference of chamber structure, the capacity of water distribution, passing water and filtration interception for pollutants is different, which is the important factors that impacts hydraulic retention time, microbial life environment and removal rate of CODCr, BOD5, NH4+-N, TP, SS for chamber underground infiltration system. To get to structural parameters which make chamber underground infiltration system be in the best treatment effect, three structural parameters such as sidewall pore, bottom pore, chamber materials were selected to the trial factor to design orthogonal experimental, removal rate of sewage pollutants was used as an index in the system. The optimal level of various structural parameters is obtained by range analysis and variance analysis: sidewall pore is 4mm, bottom pore is 4mm, and chamber material is rigid plastic. Under this condition, the removal efficiencies of sewage are as follows: CODCr is 83.223%, BOD5 is 79.167%, NH4+-N is 83.500%, TP is 87.183%, SS is 90.109%.
