Effect of different organic loads on humus soil SBR process
This study has investigated the effect of different organic loads on humus soil SBR (H-SBR) process. The results from experiments indicated that there was little removal efficiency variation on SS, BOD and TP between low-load humus soil SBR (LH-SBR) process and high-load humus soil SBR (HHSBR) process. The average removal efficiencies of SS, BOD and TP were about 97%, 97% and 91%, respectively. The LH-SBR process had better effect on NH4+-N and TN removal rate (99% and 80%, respectively), 2% and 14.5% higher than that of HHSBR process. This was mainly because the nitrifying bacteria are autotrophic bacteria, and the relatively low organic load was beneficial to the growth of nitrifying bacterial. And the COD removal was 7% higher than that of the HH-SBR process.
