Removing phosphorus from phosphorus-containing industrial wastewater using modified marble powder as chemical precipitant
Removal rates of phosphorus from phosphoruscontaining industrial wastewater were studied when wastewater were treated by modified marble powder as chemical precipitant, the single-factor and orthogonal experiments were performed, and the removals under different treatment conditions (different dosages, temperatures and oscillation rates as well as reaction times) were investigated. The results showed that the dosage of modified marble powder was the most significant factor influencing the phosphorus removals, followed by the oscillation rate. The optimum conditions of the treatment of wastewater by modified marble powder were dosage of 11 g/L, temperature of 20℃,oscillation rate of 200 r/min and reaction time of 20 min, when the removal rate of phosphorus arrived at 99.91% and the residual concentration of phosphorus was 0.21 mg/L, reaching the Grade I standard of Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard (GB8978-1996).
