WHATS THE ORIGIN OF POLYESTERS ANNEALING PEAK?
Multiple-melting behavior is a common phenomenon of polyesters, and previous literatures assigned it to the coexistence of lamellae with different thickness or the melting-recrystallization-remelting process. But until now, the origin of the multiple-melting behavior is not very clear, especially for the annealing peak (7a). Figure 1 shows the annealing peak of poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) and the fitting curve of 7a versus crystallization temperature (7c), which is almost parallel to the line of Tm=Tc and is an typical character of 7a.
