AZO POLYMER NANO/MICRO-STRUCTURES: CONSTRUCTION AND PHOTOINDUCED DEFORMATION BEHAVIOR
Polymers containing azo chromophores (azo polymer for short) have attracted considerable attention in recent years.1,2 Upon light irradiation, azo polymers can show a variety of structure and property variations induced by the reversible trans-cis photoisomerization of azo chromophores, which can be potentially used in optical devices and other areas. This communication will report some recent progresses in azo polymer nano/micro-structure construction and photoinduced deformation behavior study carried out at authors laboratory.
