Function of Religious Belief in Construction and Development of American University
Religion had a profound influence on human history as a manifestation of the development of human reason. Study served for religion when the church controlled education power in the middle Ages.The construction of cities accelerated secularization of the religious education, and brought about establishment of modern University.American University gradually shook off religious control, adapted to demand of social development and unceasingly improved its consummate education model and system exerting deep influence on American scientific progress, economic development and social life in the course of construction. However, as an important foundation for fulfilling moral education, the religious advice and discipline is the important pillar of American spiritual life, and influences American University education imperceptibly in all aspects.
