When there are negotiations in China about joint-ventures, technology transfer or subcontracting a double challenge is to be faced. One is the business one. All details have to be spelled out and intensively discussed. There are checks and double checks and as a westerner this is satisfactory for reaching an agreement. The Chinese party may not necessarily have the same perception. Such negotiation processes can take many days and include many rounds and one thing is for sure: you will travel home completely exhausted.
