Dyeability of polypropylene yarns modified with hyperbranched polyesteramide
Hyperbranched polyesteramide at the proportion of 1% and 3% (by weight) was added into polypropylene (PP) in order to improve the dyeability of polypropylene yarns by melt spinning. It was found that the hyperbranched polyesteramide evidently improved the dyeability of polypropylene yarns with C.I. Disperse Red 202 and the degree of crystallinity of the modified yarns decreased with the content of the hyperbranched polyesteramide increasing. The K/S value of 3% (by weight) hyperbranched polyesteramide/polypropylene yarns was more than 23 times compared to that of pure polypropylene yarn.
