Research on photopolymerization mechanism and improvement of curing performance of UV ink

UV inks could be cured in an instant because of cross-linking reaction or polymerization reaction occurred when the liquid photosensitive resin was exposed in the ultraviolet light. In this paper, the curing principle of the free-radical curing and the cationic curing of UV-Cured inks was discussed and compared, and the factors that affect the curing rate were analyzed through the experiment of comparing the curing rate of two types. In the last, the selection principle of photoinitiator was established by means of analyzing and comparing curing rate when various photoinitiator or photoinitiator combinations was used in UV-Cured ink.
