The influence of two-step saturation steam drawing on the properties of PAN Precursor
During the spinning process, there are various factors influencing the properties of PAN precursor fibers, including steam pressure, steam humidity, drawing tension, etc. Two-step drawing method was performed in this investigation. The drawn fibers were characterized by XRD, mechanical property test. The results showed that the fibers treated by two-step drawing exhibited higher crystallinity and orientation degree and less defects of fiber surface, compared with the PAN fibers prepared from one-step saturated steam drawing.
