The influence of spunbonding process parameters on the fiber diameter
The influence of the spunbonding processing parameters, mainly including the polymer throughput rate, the polymer melt temperature, primary air temperature, the primary cool air velocity, the venturi gap, and the air suction speed, on the fiber diameter is investigated. The effects of the processing parameters on the fiber diameter are not similar. The result shows the fiber diameter declines with the decreasing polymer throughput rate; the fiber diameter declines with the increasing polymer melt temperature, primary air temperature, suction speed, and primary cool air velocity; the fiber diameter declines firstly and increases later with the increasing venturi gap.
