Superabsorbant semi-IPN hydrogels based on PVA and PVP

摘要：

Semi-interpenetrating polymer network (semi-IPN) hydrogels composed of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) were prepared in this work. The swelling behavior reveals that the swelling ratio of the semi-IPN hydrogels are much higher than that of the pure PVA hydrogels. The swelling ratio of the semi-IPN hydrogels strongly depends on the ionic strength of the solution.
