Studies on hydrostatic head of polypropylene SMS composite nonwovens

In this article, the effects of process parameters, such as spinning temperature, hot air volume, die-to-collector distance (DCD) and speed of conveyor belt, on the hydrostatic head of spunbonded-meltblown-spunbonded (SMS) composite nonwovens were discussed. The results showed that using raw materials with high melting flow index (MFI), enhancing the volume and speed of hot air and spinning temperature, enlarging DCD, and reducing conveyor belt speed can make SMS composite nonwovens with a high hydrostatic head.
