Comparing fatigue properties of graft with stent-graft
Fatigue behaviours of endovascular prostheses can be observed at macroscopic, mesoscopic, and microscopic state. In this study, we compared the fatigue behaviours of graft with stent-graft from aspect of macroscopic, such as integral water permeability, changes in woven fabric count. The fatigue tester was operated acceleratedly: the frequency was 10Hz and the pressure with a pulsatile sine wave was 480 mmHg. The results showed that the stent-graft was easier to fatigue than the graft. The changes in fabric count might be not a proper index to evaluate the fatigue property of graft and stent-graft. But the change in integral water permeability of graft and stent-graft proved to be a proper index to evaluate the fatigue performance of endovascular prostheses.
