Crystallization behaviors and electro-spinnability of UPM/PHBV blended polyester
Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) was blended into unsaturated polyester macrom-onomers (UPM) with the ratio of 80PHBV/20UPM. Optical microscopy (OM) was used to study the crystallization behaviour of PHBV/UPM blends. Experimental results indicated that the crystallization behavior of PHBV/UPM blends was influenced apparently by UPM in the matrix. Blend fibres were prepared via electrospinning. The electrospun UPM/PHBV fibres had a relatively broad size distribution in the range of 1-20μm.
