Elastic fibre properties of thermoplastic elastomers with crystallisable segments of uniform length
Segmented block copolymers are very interesting thermoplastic elastomers. They combine good elastic properties with ease of melt processing. The crystallization of the hard segments can be improved if they are monodisperse in length. With a faster crystallization not only the processing is fast but also the low temperature properties, the modulus and the elastic properties are better. Discussed will be the advantages of using mono disperse crystallisable segments in segmented block copolymers.
