Study of wearable and comfortable properties of the new viscose knitted fabric made of bast fibers pulp

The new cellulose fiber with commercial name Shengma was produced by rayon spinning technology from jute and kenaf pulp. Shengma yarn was knitted into interlock fabric. The air permeability, moisture permeability, thermal comfortableness and some subjective or objective evaluations of these knitted fabrics were investigated with the aim to develop a novel spring or summer knitted garment. A comprehensive evaluation system of fabrics’ cool comfort performance was established using fuzzy mathematics method. The results showed that some experimental evidences were provided for product development and performance evaluation of such similar new knitted fabrics.
