Properties and characterization of PVA / MWNTS Blend Film
The Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/multiwall carbon nanotubes(MWNT) nanocomposites were prepared by solution-mixing method assisted by high-energy sonication. The obtained PVA/MWNT nanocomposites were characterized by scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), di.erential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The electrical properties and mechanical properties of the film have been measured. It has been found that the addition of MWNTs improves the mechanical response, increases the glass transition temperature and delays the thermal oxidation of PVA.
