Experimental study of the assembly of lamellar Mg(OH)2 nano- crystals on modified cellulose membrane in a static electric field

Under action of a static electric field the assembly of lamellar Mg(OH)2 nano-crystals on modified cellulose membrane was studied. Lamellar Mg(OH)2 crystals continuously grew on the modified cellulose membrane by in-situ crystallization. The assembly of Mg(OH)2 crystals shows a distinct dependence on the direction of the static electric field. The assembly and size of the crystals changed greatly with the direction modification of the electric field. Mg(OH)2 nano-crystals on modified cellulose membrane were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscope (SEM).
