Study on mechanical properties of nature rubber/ attapulgite nanocomposites
In this paper, attapulgite (AT)/natural rubber (NR) nanocomposites have been prepared. Different types of attapulgite were prepared and fourier infrared spectroscopic (FTIR) and XRD were used to analyze the structure of attapulgite before and after calcination. Different types of attapulgite were filled into natural rubber according to different proportion and the mechanisms of composites were analyzed. The results showed that siliane coupling agent Si-69 can improve the dispersion of calcined attapulgite and enhance the chemical interfacial adhesion. The tensile strength was 21.8 MPa and abrasion loss was 0.0743 cm3/1.61km. So calcined attapulgite modified by Si-69 has a reinforcing effect of carbon black.
