An Iterative Way of MIMO Sonar Signal Analysis

Generally speaking, signals received by MIMO sonar receivers will be sent to match filter banks to estimate time of arrivals (TOAs), sometimes there must be strong signals and weak signals overlapped and then the peaks of match filter (MF) output generated by weak signals may be submerged by sidelobes of strong signals and cannot be identified. This paper introduces an iterative way of MIMO sonar signal analysis methodology to increase MIMO sonar resolution. This methodology estimates TOAs from strong signals to weak signals by eliminating strong signals successively in the input sides of match filter banks. This paper proposes the numerical simulation result and then analyses the performance of this methodology.
