A design of three-dimensional sound field simulator based on acoustic ray tracing for high-realistic sensation

Recently, multi-channel surround reproduction system for high-realistic sensation is diffused. So, the system which generates various sound fields on computational simulation is in demand. Until now, we have approached the system from the acoustic ray tracing. The acoustic ray tracing based on geometric acoustics is one of effective methods for room acoustic simulation. With the simulator based on the acoustic ray tracing method, we could calculate impulse response on arbitrary capturing points in the virtual sound field. But, the method cannot sufficiently realize high-realistic sensation, because humans listen to the acoustic signal included in diffraction, transmission and so on causing their head and body. So, we expanded the monophonic simulator to multi-channel output one considered HRTF with the loudspeaker array close to head. In this paper, in order to generate various sound d fields on computational simulation, we expanded the simulator to which can control the reverberation time of the virtual sound field. As a result of objective evaluation, we confirmed the effectiveness of our proposed method on EDT, T20 and T30, acoustic parameters.
