2008 Olympic Games and their social impacts

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games have drawn worldwide attention. The main reason is that the Games are going to be staged in the most populous developing country with apparent oriental cultural heritages and the communist political system. In addition, the country has been in a sweeping social transitional process and emerged at a fast growing rate during the last three decades.
