Football pitches and Barbie dolls: Young childrens perspective of their school playgrounds

Introduction Kew Riverside Primary School is a health promoting school and was deemed important to gather information from the children regarding different aspects of their well-being. It is important to involve the children in to decision making processes about their well-being and for the researchers to listen and learn from the childrens experiences in their environment (Clark and Moss, 2005). This study focused on the childrens perceptions of their playground, with the outcome being ideas to improve their playtime expenditure.
