Measurement and evaluation of youth athletic performance-related fitness: A Review
Introduction Fitness is a humans ability or trait to handle the tasks performed in everyday life with enough energy in reserve to enjoy leisure pursuits and deal with emergencies (Safrit & Wood, 1995). To meet practical needs, different types of fitness were created and operationally defined. Health-related, athletic performance-related and functional fitness are the three most commonly used in practice. A fitness testing/educational program can include all different kinds of fitness or simply focuses on one of them.
