The effects of swimming and increasing age on bone mineral density and composition in mice
Introduction Osteoporosis is a common disease in the elderly, and prevention of the disease should occur as early as possible. Swimming is good for increasing fitness; however swimmings effects on bone need to be established. The aim of this study was to observe the changes in bone mineral density and bone composition in mice in order to reveal the effects of swimming and increasing age on bone.
