The study on the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games inflation risks and control
Introduction The economic impact of hosting the Olympic Games is long and diversified. For example, such an event can increase investment and promote economic growth. In addition to this there are also negative effects that the hosting of the Olympic Games can have on the economy (Preuss 2000). At present, China is at a higher, moderate inflation level. This paper studies the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and examines whether it will cause inflation risk. The paper also seeks to establishes some control measures in order to maximize economic benefits of the Olympic Games.
