A study on the construction of athletic economic security systems of past-Olympic Games

Introduction Retired athletes are often subjected to a high risk of poverty when retirement from sport occurs in China. Currently there is not a functional social security or retirement system for Chinese athletes. The problem has directly affected the sustainable development of Olympic sports and the development of a harmonious society. This paper analyzes the issues associated with the social security system for retired athletes.
