The association between skeletal muscle contractions and AMPK regulation using data mining techniques
Introduction 5-AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) has been recognized as a super metabolic regulator 1 and is closely related to skeletal muscle contractions. The muscle action exerts its influences on AMPK activity and phosphorylation as well as gene and protein expression. Furthermore, changes in AMPK per se, such as mutations in key sites of its gene, have a strong impact on muscle contraction capacity 2.
