The protective effect of exercise preconditioning on acute myocardial ischemia injury
Introduction Ischemic Preconditioning (IP) is a phenomenon in which brief repetitive periods of ischemiareperfusion protect the myocardium against subsequent prolonged ischemia. It is an endogenous cardioprotective mechanism. Exercise Preconditioning (EP) has the protective effect of IP which is induced by exercise. It is well established that exercise can induce the protective effect of IP, but the cardioprotective mechanism of EP needs to be thoroughly investigated.
