The role of individual, social, and physical environmental factors in predicting school students participation in physical activity and team sport

Introduction Based on the social ecological approach (Sallis & Owen, 1997, 2002), the youth physical activity promotion (YPAP) model proposes that individual, social environmental, and physical environmental factors may respectively predispose, reinforce, or enable youth to be physically active (Welk, 1999).
