Evaluation of artificial sweat in athletes with spinal cord injuries
Introduction Athletes with spinal cord injury (SCI) often experience high heat storage due to reduced sweating capacity below the level of spinal injury. Spray bottles are often used to apply water for evaporative cooling on these athletes during breaks in competitions. This study examined the efficacy of spray bottle use during rest breaks during an armexercise ramp protocol.
