Sport management research in North America: A Content analysis and review

Introduction Sport management is a relatively newer subject and has become a major rising academic discipline not only in North America, but also in higher education across the world. Over the past decades, scholars (e. g., Chelladurai, 1992; Cuneen & Parks, 1997; Pitts & Pedersen, 2005; Slack, 1996; Zeigler, 1987) in North America have spent considerable effort to develop a theoretical system through research for benefiting healthy growth of the profession.
