On-line Monitoring System of Metal Oxide Arrester Based On Virtual Instrument
The Metal Oxide Arrester (MOA) is an important over-voltage protection device.But some of MOA will deteriorate gradually under operating voltage and some of them will be moistened because of structure problems.The two faults can lead to increasing of leakage current of the arresters,even to accident of power system when they are severe.Resistive first-harmonic current and high-harmonic current are the two fault eigenvector reflecting MOAs performance 1.According to the feature and requirements of the measurement of conductive leakage current,this paper proposed the principle of the on-line monitoring of MOA insulation and its implement,and selected the harmonic analysis to monitor MOA conductive leakage current,applying the digital processing programming which utilizes LabVIEW to acquire the resistive leakage current,then acquire the resistive first-harmonic current and high-harmonic current.Based on LabVIEW,the paper also accomplishes the design of the whole system of MOA insulation monitoring,including the system hardware and the monitoring software.
