The Context of Survival: Supporting the Man on the Spot
Spatial Context, or the relations of various portions of the 2D or 3D spatial models to their neighbouring components. is shown to be related to the dual graph of the graph of the geometric elements. In two dimensions this is most easily provided by the Voronoi diagram. In three dimensions Poincare duality is used. Examples are given, in which the context is necessary for local model construction and escape route planning for emergency workers.
