Network Construction for Fourth-Party Logistics based on Resilience with Using Particle Swarm Optimization
Fourth-party logistics (4PL) has been receiving great attention and studied by researchers. However, 4PL network play a key role in the successful development of 4PL. Thus, it is significant to construct a logistics network that can make 4PL system perform efficiently and securely. This paper considers a 4PL network construction problem which takes uncertain disruptions into consideration. We develop a 4PL network optimization model based on resilience and present Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method that can solve the problem involving the selection of facilities and 3PL vendors. Numerical experiments are presented, and the results indicate the significance of the model as well as the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
