Exploring the Cultural Connotation of Innovation in Furniture Design From the Perspective of Technology
This paper aims to interpret the cultural essence of innovation activities in furniture design, with a new perspective of science and technology, rather than art. it analyzed the external performance, internal motivation, as well as the reason of innovation in furniture design. Firstly, innovative application of new materials is a particularly prominent aspect in furniture design. New materials calls for new structure, and promote the evolution of styles. Secondly, technical advancements provide us with new materials, structures, processing techniques. Finally, technical advancements change our lifestyles by changing our technical concepts as well as aesthetic values.
