An Optimization of EGR Control System for Gasoline Using Fuzzy PID strategy
In order to get a robust control for a gasoline engine EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system, a fuzzy PID controller is developed and its performance is studied by comparing to the normal PID controller. First a GT-power model for the gasoline engine (with EGR) is constructed and verified. Based on this model, a PID control system and a fuzzy PID control system are developed. Then the step signal, the real time signal and the interference signal are used to test the response and the anti-interference performance of the two systems. The results reveal that the fuzzy PID control system works better than the PID control system in vibration prevention and anti-interference performance, which is more suitable for the gasoline engine.
