Comparative Study on E-Government from the Perspective of Local Government Between China and the U.S
Construction of local e-government has a very significant impact on improving the governance capability of local government and promoting healthy and stable development of the regional economy. This paper compares the differences of the local e-government strategic positioning, management organization and operational mechanism between China and the United States, and analyzes the similarities and differences of e-government’s investment, information infrastructure, portal information websites and information systems and databases between China and the United States. According to Chinese social-economy condition and experience from American, this paper gives some countermeasure and suggestions to the construction of local e-government in China.
