Study on Synthesis of Sucrose Esters- High Added Value Products Bio-diesel

A novel nonionic surfactant-sucrose esters was studied in this paper. Using bio-diesel and sucrose as materials, the optimal synthetic conditions of sucrose esters (SE) in a solvent-free system was determined as: K2O/C used as solid base catalyst, catalyst dosage 6%, the mole ratio of bio-diesel to sucrose 2:1, potassium stearate dosage 15%, reaction temperature 135, an ℃ d 3h. As solvent extraction was used to purify raw product, the yield of SE product was 86.4% based on sucrose.
