Synthesis of Maleopimaric Acid Anhydride Polyamides and Their Characteristics of Curing Reaction
Three kinds of epoxy resin polyamide curing agents were prepared from maleopimaric acid anhydride by amidation with polyamine(including diethylenetriamine, triethylenetetramine and tetraethylenepentamine). The cured products of epoxy resin/polyamide composites were characterized by FT-IR, TGA and tensile machine. It was found that epoxy resin can be cured completely with polyamides under the condition of 25℃ for 6 h, and then 80 ℃ for 4 h at theoretical mass ratio, and the shear strength of the cured product of epoxy resin/polyamide(Fe-Fe) reached 21.6 Mpa, the thermal decomposition temperature of the cured products were over 300 ℃. The polyamides have been found to have wide application on the occasions of higher shear strength and heat-resistant grade.
