Preparation of (-)-Abietic Acid from Mason Pine Pitch and Its Bioactivity

摘要：

Abietic acid was obtained by isomerization reaction from Mason pine pitch at 82.3％ yield and as high as 99.15％ purity. This method has some advantages of higher yield and purity, more friendly environment and lower cost than the one of Amine Salt. Its structure was verified by FT-IR、1H NMR、13C NMR、13C NMR -DEPT、MS and Single-crystal X-ray Diffraction. The prepared sodium abietate is reactive in ethanol and was applied in Antimicrobial test (ATCC43504 H. pylori) in which MIC is 32 μg/mL. The result is worse than Amoxicillin, but 4 times better than Metronidazole.
