Study on Abietic-type Acids in Rosin under Acidic Treatment
Slash pine (P. elliottii) rosin and masson pine (P. massoniana) rosin were treated with different type of acids for different time, and variation relationships of abietic-type acids were analyzed through the content changes of abietic-type acids and dehydroabietic acid. The results showed that isomerization was the major among palustric acid, abietic acid and neoabietic acid, and at the same time dehydrogenation and decarboxylation occurred under acidic treatment. The rates of isomerization, as well as dehydrogenation and decarboxylation were all proportionally related to acidic strength.
