Preparation and Properties of Rosinbased Waterborne Polyurethane Modified by Nano Zinc Oxide
In the present study series of rosinbased water-borne polyurethane (RWPU) /ZnO were prepared. For this, RWPU with fumaropimaric acid polyester polyol was prepared first, then different concentrations of nano-ZnO emulsion was incorporated into the RWPU matrix. The prepared RWPU/ZnO hybrid dispersions were casted in a Teflon petridish and the dried films were subjected to XRD and SEM analyses and antibacterial assays. The phase mixing behavior was studied from FT-IR peak deconvolution technique. The antibacterial tests suggested that the antibacterial activity increased at first and then decreased with the augment of ZnO content.
