XPS Determination of Nitrogen Forms in Larch and Urea-formaldehyde Resin Wood-based Panel
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was employed to test the existing form of nitrogen in larch, urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive, and wood-based panel made of larch and urea-formaldehyde resin. The results show that the existing form of nitrogen in the larch is the amine family and pyrrolic structures andnitrogen in urea-formaldehyde resin adhesive is in the form of the amine family, since it contains urea. The form of larch urea-formaldehyde resin wood-based panel is the amine family and pyrrolic, and the amount of amine nitrogen increase more obviously than those in larch. The result of this study is able to lay the foundation of the study on the migration of nitrogen during fast pyrolysis of wood based on panel wastes.
