Research on Preparation of Flame Retardant Epoxy Containing-Phosphorus by Glycerol
This paper reports research on the synthesis and characterization of Triglycidyl phosphate (TGP) taking the glycerol as raw material. 3-chlorine-1, 2-trimethylene glycol (3-MCPD) was firstly prepared through chlorination of the glycerol and hydrochloric acid, and then reacted with solid sodium hydroxide, cyclization forming glycidol. Finally, the trichloro-oxygen phosphorus and the glycidol reacted to produce TGP at low temperature by selecting triethylamine as reagent for neutralizing the acid. The epoxy value of the product is about 0.9 eq/100g. The samples as-synthesized were characterized by IR, GC-MS and H-NMR.
