Chemical Constituents and Extraction Process of Lacquer Wax from Toxicodendron vernicifluum (Stokes)
Lacquer wax is one of the most important woody fatty resource from Toxicodendron vernicifluum (Stokes). In this paper, in order to obtain the optimum extraction conditions of lacquer wax by using thermal reflux, single factor experiments, i.e.,extraction solvent, extraction times, extraction temperature and solid-liquid ratio, were studied. And orthogonal experiment was also devised and examined. The results showed that the reasonable extraction conditions of lacquer wax were petroleum ether as solvent, solid-liquid ratio 1:20(m/v), extraction time 60 min, extraction temperature 80 ℃ and twice for extraction times. In addition, the analytical results demonstrsted that lacquer wax was mainly composed of fatty acid glycerides and the contents and chemical constituents of lacquer waxes were different from shaanxi and jiangxi provinces. The main components of fatty acids were palmitic acid, oleic acid and stearic acid in lacquer waxes. Besides more than 70% of the main components in fatty acids, there were also few tridecanedioic acid, docosanoic acid and eicosanebioic acid. Especially there were about 8.2% ~14.0% dicarboxylic acids in lacquer wax from shaanxi and Jiangxi province, which was markly more than Japan wax.
