A NEW DIFFERENTIAL METHOD FOR THE EVALUATION OF STEP WISE AND PULSE TRANSIENT MEASUREMENTS
The contribution is concerned to the use of two transient methods for the determination of thermal and moisture parameters of model and real materials. PMMA and water were used as the model materials for studying of thermal properties. The evaluated parameters (thermal diffusivity, thermal capacity, and thermal conductivity) for both ones are in agreement with tabulated data. As the real (unknown) materials, the PCM (phase change materials: ice-water, water-steam) for studying of thermal properties, and construction composites (concrete) for studying of moisture properties (moisture diffusivity, sorptivity and water absorption coefficient) were used. The presented very simple experimental and analytical method can be used for getting optimal thermal and moisture parameters for different applications (e.g. for construction of buildings, photovoltaic panels, etc.) in the future.
