THERMAL PROPERTY PREDICTION OF D2O BELOW THE TRIPLE POINT FROM STATISTICAL RATE THEORY
Statistical rate theory (SRT) was applied to predict saturation pressure of deuterium oxide (D2O) numerically based on the measurements of interfacial liquid-phase temperature, interfacial vapor-phase temperature, and evaporation flux in non-equilibrium evaporation under the steady state conditions. An analytical expression was given on the basis of the predicted saturation pressures near the triple point, where the saturation pressure was measured accurately before. It is suggested that the SRT approach provides us an efficient method to predict the equilibrium saturation pressure from a non-equilibrium process.
