NONEQUILIBRIUM ELECTRON-ENERGY TRANSPORT DURING SHORT-PULSE LASER HEATING OF METALS
The temperature rise of the rear face of several films was observed by MCT detector after heating by a ~8ns laser pulse. A “pulse-like temperature signal was observed in advance of the normal temperature rise signal. It was proposed that nonequilibrium heat transport may not only presence with picoseconds laser pulse excitation, but also exist with nanoseconds transient heating cases. It supposed that the “electron solitons may formed in the metallic films during high-power short laser pulse heating, and transport the energy to the real surface of the film ultrafast.
